Not yet, GU. The vet said to give him a call on Monday when she finishes her first dose of pills. His only concern would have been if the pills did not work. But it is looking pretty promising. She is getting feisty, so we're headed in the right direction. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that there are no relapses.

The vet still has the original blood that he took at the first of the week, in case there was a need for further testing like pmc suggested, such as for thyroid. We'll play it by ear, and not look a gift horse in the mouth ......ar, ar, ar.....

Xenasaur, she went downhill overnight (I couldn't believe how fast) and wouldn't eat, drink or move very much. We were afraid she was colicing, but all other signs were normal. Blood tests showed she was anemic and probably had an ulcer, so she's been on a ton of drugs since last Monday. She is improving every day, and her attitude is coming back with it .
Kobau, ain't that tooo true! I have always worried when they were 'good', and figured something must be wrong! Geeeeez, that doesn't sound good for the behavior of my ponies........... But I think they are just like kids......when they are quiet, something ain't right............
Sheba, I am surprised how fast she has turned around with how sick she was. How long did it take your fellow to feel better once you had diagnosed and started to treat him? I know this is apples and oranges here tho.

Gald to hear she's on the mend.

Mindyou, my BO once told me "a little anemia is not always a bad thing!" when we treated my first horse for it and got back a wild thing (she did settle down though).
