Maybe we need a code word to insert in such a thread, like those I have to let someone know they have something stuck in their teeth at a dinner party to fix the faux pas <IMG src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0">. Subtle but to the point. [/QUOTE]
One of my favs is "XYZ" which means "Examine Your Zipper" - used when someone's fly is at half-mast... <IMG src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0">
My best friend (and wee pmc's godmother) has been my friend forever. When we were (much) younger, she had the proclivity to get increasingly opinionated in direct proportion to the amount of alcohol consumed. Since I wasn't a drinker (and, in retrospect now realize that the only reason my presense was tolerated was because I always drove!) there were times when I had to pull her aside and lovingly tell her to "Put a sock in it."
So, as a joke, I actually put a sock in my purse, and the next time I noticed her going down that road, I simply let a wee piece of the sock stick out, tapped her on the shoulder and pointed to my purse. She burst out laughing and pulled in her reins. Then if, as the night wore on, she needed another reminder, the amount of sock visible would increase accordingly. We still laugh about that to this day...<IMG src="smileys/smiley14.gif" border="0">
So perhaps the code word "PASIT" (Put A Sock In It) would work here, too... <IMG src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0"><edited><editID>pmc</editID><editDate>38388.3407291667</editDate></edited>
