Cost of fencing in a riding ring with one or 2 wooden rails

What is a good safe way to fence in a riding ring for a fairly decent
price.  Can anyone direct me to a place to get cheep wood? 
What is the price range for "do it yourself" fencing.  The place
where i am looking to move my horses has a great riding ring but it has
wire around the edges and wire scares me, lol.  I don't want to be
