#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Well.....This is what I've come up with...but someone can correct me if I have it wrong.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Cirrus is palomino, so she has a base coat of chestnut which is diluted by the cream gene.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#In order for the foal to be buckskin, I need to get a bay foal dilued by the cream gene.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Just based on that I think I need a Bay or un-homogygous black stud for the best chance. I need to look up her parents and parents parents to confirm what colour they were too. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Kaleena - if you breed her to a bay, you will get a 50% chance of a bay foal and 50% chance of a buckskin/palomino/smoky black  foal#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#If bred to a cremello - you get a 50% chance of cremello and 50% chance of palomino#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#If bred to perlino - you get a 50% chance of cremello or perlino and 50% chance of buckskin or palomino or smoky black.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#So - no REAL easy way to get a buckskin out of her unfortunately! #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Shoal - Devon is *THE* epitome of hunter line breeding shows held the last weekend in May in Devon, PA.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#To win at Devon REALLY means something big!#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Its kind of like my horse winning a race and yours winning the Kentucky Derby! #ed_op#IMG src="http://forums.equestrianconnection.com/richedit/smileys//smiley20.gif"#ed_cl# That would be a pretty accurate analogy to use ...#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#So - I am REALLY excited just thinking about it! We have *THE* top handler lined up to handle her and she will do 2 shows before Devon with him so I am crossing my fingers SO hard that she is a really good girl and does well in all 3 shows with him ...#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Oh, I know there is no easy way to breed specifically for anything! :) Getting a buckskin would just be a great perk if I were to breed her. I would be happy with any colour healthy foal...I do love the shine my dark bay TB has in the summer #ed_op#IMG src="http://forums.equestrianconnection.com/richedit/smileys//smiley20.gif"#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Devon cream actually refers to the real Devon, the county in England, not it's namesake in Pensy.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
