#ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#P#ed_cl#Heh-heh! You obviously don't spend much time in western barns, Patricia. Tall guys on little 14hh QH's are the norm. #ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#P#ed_cl#Besides, we don't know how tall GD's boyfriend is. If he's under 6ft he should be fine on a 14.3hh horse, if she's big-barrelled (which she likely is, being a Morgan). As long as the horse can carry the weight, I don't see anything wrong with a tall person on a short horse, especially if it's just a pleasure/trail horse.#ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#P#ed_cl#Edited to say that I just read that GD's bf is 5'8" and in good shape. That's plenty small enough for a 14.3hh Morgan. #ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#P#ed_cl#And GD, it may be his decision as to what horse he wants, but since he's the newbie, it will be YOU who will end up doing the bulk of the training, should he choose that stud. I'd really be steering him towards the mare. Is there any way you can arrange a ride (or two or three) for him on that mare?? Maybe when he sees that he can actually ride her NOW, he'll be more inclined to buy her. #ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#P#ed_cl# #ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#P#ed_cl# #ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#Patricia wrote:#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#It is very obvious that the choice should be #1. Although, I can't wrap my head around the idea of a guy riding such a small horse. The horse is past its prime...and it may end up with back problems later on....Tall people on a small horse just don't work for me....especially guys....JMHO....#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#P#ed_cl#
