#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#FONT size=2#ed_cl#Breeding and Marketing of Top Performance Horses#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#***************************************************************************#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#A Symposium will be held over the evenings of March 22nd & 23rd on Breeding and Marketing of Top Canadian-born Performance Horses, with a focus on International sales and success. These evening sessions are FREE of charge (as they are being funded), and will start at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, the 22nd, and 6:30 pm on Wednesday, the 23rd.#ed_op#BR#ed_cl##ed_op#BR#ed_cl#The program will include guest speakers, demonstrations, and hands-on evaluations. This is being held in conjunction with the Hendrik Gabel undersaddle clinic which is being held during the day from the 21st - 24th. Mr. Gabel will be an invaluable participant in this event as one of our speakers, both because of his senior role in the Hanoverian Mare Verband, and as the Test Trainer for the Canadian Warmblood Stallion Performance Test. #ed_op#/FONT#ed_cl##ed_op#P#ed_cl#Tuesday#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#Tuesday will focus on breeding and development. We will be explore the#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses and the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses. The WBFSH is the only international federation of studbooks for sport horses in the world and is the major connection between performance horse studbooks and the FEI. #ed_op#P#ed_cl#We will also be taking a look at the importance of Thoroughbred blood in#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#sport horses, and talking about breeding for certain niches and/or utilizing proven line crosses. #ed_op#P#ed_cl#Stallion demonstrations will be performed by the 2004 CWHBA Stallion Performance Test#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#Champion and Reserve Champions, d'Azanté and VDL Ulando H, which will be followed by mare evaluations. We will also touch on the importance and role of Stallion Testing, and helping green breeders of both mares and stallion prospects, understand its validity and its meaning. We will be accepting a limited number of mares for these evaluations, so if you are interested in obtaining valuable feedback on your mares, their attributes and how they can be an asset in the development of these top performance horses, please contact Ashley immediately. #ed_op#P#ed_cl#Wednesday#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#Wednesday will focus on the marketing our top quality Canadian-born sport#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#horses. An advertising professional will go through essential marketing basics, followed by a more focused look at the horse industry by a well-established art web and graphic design company in the equestrian community. One of the Canadian horse community's success stories in niche#ed_op#BR#ed_cl#marketing will be speaking and sharing some of her strategies, successes and failures, insight that every breeder can learn from. #ed_op#P#ed_cl#These seminars will provide a wealth of information for both the green and the experienced breeder.
