#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#We had early start times all weekend b/c we were stabled right on the property. Our x-country on Sunday ran at 8:24-ish...we were lucky number 13!! We took home a final 4th place from Belvoir which bumps our provincial rank to 3rd for time being. Wahoo! Great first season. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Aww, thanks! He's just an appendix, his dad was TB and his mom was a QH. I bought him when he was just 3! He'll be turning 10 on October 23! Woah, time flies!! I've trained him all by myself. I haven't had a coach for the past 4 years. He's such a good guy, extremely laid back, just like Eore! But can jump the moon! I've free-jumped him 5', but together we have only done 4'. He started his Trillium career in the Jumpers when he was 5 and I was just as new to it, he's done the A's also and the CNE too. I had to take a few years off of competing to focus on school, and we dove back into it this past summer. Instead of the Trillium and A's I decided to try something new and try eventing. That's a blast and alot harder than just jumping! You really need to know your horse well and know how to ride, not just point and click! ;) I wasn't even expecting to place this year, let alone qualify and go to the championships! So I am a very proud mother! He just finished his two week vacation, and we are into our winter training schedule. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#It's nice to be able to talk to someone. Tell me about your horse(s). What do you? What would you like to do?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Cheers!!#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

When something goes wrong in a show, it's actually the best time because you learn from it. You ask yourself 'what can I do better?' When everything goes OK, you don't ask yourself that question --- ANKY

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Well I was going to say he reminds me of my horse especially in the one jumping picture (not that I really jump my horse) but his expression.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Then I read "he's just an appendix" and I giggled to myself because my horse is "just an appendix" too ;o)  Only my horses dad is the QH and his dam the TB.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#My horse just turned 5 this year.  I've had him since he was about 20 months old or so, and I've done all the training myself too =o)  I don't have a coach although I could sure use one!  I'm having a hard time with cantering, my horse doesn't want to go heehee.  I'm going to try tonight, hopefully he doesn't buck my sorry butt off *knock on wood*.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I used to show, and did open shows, fairs, and hunter/jumper.  I don't know what I am going to do with this horse I have now.  Maybe a bit of everything.  He will be able to be shown english or western, he's really versitile.  I like jumping, and he was supposed to be a jumper, so we can do that too.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#BR#ed_cl#And I just bought a dressage saddle, even though I've never ridden dressage in my life, so maybe I'll try that too LOL.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Eventing looks like a blast.  Are there a lot of events in this area?  I am about 45 minutes or so west of London.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Congrats on your accomplishments, you should certainly be VERY proud of yourself and your lovely horse.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Jessica#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Well, we started at Grandview as our first and basically went to every one with the exception of equus and checkmate. I think we did GV(2), Glen Oro, Dreamcrest, WoW, Woodwinds...and Belvoir. I just had so much fun at the first at GV, that I dove right into eventing for the rest of the season. We also did a few Combined tests too. His show name is Coco Bongo.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Who do you show, what level will you do next year?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I hope we'll do PT-90 in the spring.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#thats aweosme, yeah grandview is an excellent event! when i took my old mare there we placed 2nd at the PT90 level and won a whole crapload of hand creams and face creams and stuff.. it was awesome! haha#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Last year i showed my gelding Prince Charming at PT90 level#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#and HOPEFULLY the gelding i'm riding right now will get out to a couple events next year.. he's extremely brave so jumping won't be aproblem.. his dressage is still coming though.. he's got incredible movement, but his stride is just so long he doesn't know how to collect well yet.. once he learns that, he's going to be winning left, right and center.  So he'll probably go to one or two entry level (PT80) events but will probably find that he can go to PT90 after that! It gets expensive though so i'll have to save up lots.. haha hope to see you out there! #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
