My First Ride out of the roundpen!!

Postby spotz » Wed Nov 02, 2005 12:23 pm

Well...it took me awhile to get these photos online for you to see but I finally did it!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
Here was my first ride in my outdoor ring on Punch!...around end of August!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
I finally got him gelded the last weekend of september & have been
letting him have a break but I am starting him back in the roundpen
this week & getting back on for some 10 minute workouts a couple
times a week to keep him going a bit through the winter as I am trying
to sell him!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
Here is my son.....#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

These were taken after he had my coach back him & put 30 days on
him for me first before I started to take him over..... think he's
doing pretty good!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
He is very smooth with a long slow stride & a very light mouth!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
He is 2yrs & 11/2 months old in the photo's......he got alot bigger
& is putting on some more weight now since I gelded him & laid
him off for a month!  I cannot imagine how tall he's going to
be....he's just over 16.1hh now & still bum high!!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
I just had to show you all my wonderful little son......my handsome boy!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

Yes...he is very quiet, especially for a 3/4 TB!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
He's not spooky at all & isn't overly sensitive at all to
accidental kicks, bumps with the leg or seat adjustments...he doesn't
lurch forward.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
I was actually surprised at how much leg I needed to get him just to canter for a few strides!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
Still has directional difficulties...LOL...but that will come!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
I call it standared steering as oppossed to automatic steering...LOL!!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

He looks awesome! He seems way more mature and is a real looker. You should have no trouble selling such a nice boy!

What a lovely boy and he looks like a sweetie to ride. No wonder you are so pleased with him.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#0000ff#ed_cl#Wow!  Punch and Panda are both gorgeous.  You must be doing something right with your breeding programme.  They look huge!  I like the mare in the other thread too.  #ed_op#/FONT#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
