I would say still look into the fit of the saddle for you.  I only occasional have this problem.  The time I had it the most was when I rode in a Stubben.
You may have to try a variety of saddles to see which twist is right for you.  And tilt of the saddle for you is also a factor.  That's one of the reason we have so many saddles out there in Dressage is find the one that fits the rider and the horse.
I spent years riding in Passier.  Only to discover the most comfortable saddle for me was one built more on the lines of a Close contact.  Theh Forestier has been the most amazing saddle for me.  Though I still occassionally get rubs in bad places.

Yes, I am definitely going to get the saddle adjusted. The last time I had it done I was having problems with sitting to the left and my seat tipping back so we fit it to help me with those problems. It's probably getting worse because these aren't such problems anymore. Last night I brutalized myself so badly that peeing was an activity to avoid at all costs. I'm still walking like a cowboy this morning, although at least I can go to the bathroom without fear. I've been waiting on the saddle adjustment because of my financial woes but I'm almost out of the pit so I should be able to get it done soon. I couldn't really justify paying Schleese an arm & leg to adjust the saddle when I had 2 month old bills and the horses were 2 weeks overdue for the farrier.

Do you think it could be your breeches? I mean, I am just throwing this out of left field, but through experience (tried the granny panties, and the other different types), I noticed that when I wore breeches like Cotton Naturals, the full-seat would rub my bum and the seam would torture the nether regions. Major fear of peeing! Anyway, when I started sampling breeches like Cavallo or Schumacher, especially the ones that do up on on the side, problem has almost completly disappeared. Never required granny panties after that! <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley15.gif" border="0"> <edited><editID>Eva</editID><editDate>38395.4984953704</editDate></edited>

Not that I have tried this personaly but on another site some ladies swear by the thong for this problem! You can't get "rubbed" the wrong way if there is nothing to rub you with.

I 2nd the thong. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br />I've never have that problem you ladies are discussing so perhaps it's just an underwear style issue. Even if you don't like thongs, you can just wear them to go riding. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br />

I wear the thong too! Forgot to mention it! I almost always wear the thong! Helps too when wearing white breeches! Can't see anything, when you are wearing next to nothing underneath! <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0">

The thong just moved the site of the rubs! I'll keep the Equissentials breeches in mind the next time I need new ones.

I love them! They are soooooooo comfy! Plus there aren't any underwear lines and rarely do I get rubbed.

Edited cause I can't tell if you guys are teasing me or if my pro-thong talk was really bothering you. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br />Ok, let me just put it this way then. Thongs are not uncomforable when you are used to them and some people, like me, think that regular underwear is way more uncomfortable. <br /> <br />Better gals? <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"><edited><editID>Lix</editID><editDate>38398.6161342593</editDate></edited>

It's so hard to be a 'thong advocate' whithout sounding twisted. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0"> LOL <br /> <br />Now I got jax all freaked out. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0"><img border="0" src="smileys/smiley8.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br />Anyway, it doesn't work for Ruth so it's not important anyway. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br />I hope you can find something Ruth. Sounds like a very annoying prob. <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0">

Jax, if you think this one is bad you should have seen the one on COTH about embarrassing underwear moments. It was so funny I stayed late at work to finish reading it.

I can't remember the exact title of the thread but it was in the Off Course section and goes back into early or mid January. It's not the one entitled "To thong or not to thong". The title was something like "when underwear goes wrong" or "what undergarments not to wear riding" but neither of those are quite right.<edited><editID>Ruth</editID><editDate>38398.6134027778</editDate></edited>
