#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#FONT color=#6000bf#ed_cl#Uhm...let's just say, I afford a horse by working waaaaaaaay more hours while I'm in school than I'd have to if I just had the car, lol. But she's my baby...#ed_op#/FONT#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Jax, Chenders, I figured that! Just the other day I was telling my friend that I have already made plans for my next life:#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
Not getting married and (as much as I love my little beasties to death)
I'm NOT having kids. Ok, I will make an exception, maybe, for a
millionaire who is as crazy about horses as I am and doesn't want kids!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#MDFA, he is about 8 months now, so it will be a while before we get to any shows....wouldn't it be funny to take him to a CSH inspection tho? I think it would be funny to see what ppl thought, even if he was just along for the ride. The photo was from when he was about 2 or 3 months old, he's really really hairy now and kind of odd looking. I'll get some better pics in the spring when he sheds out. But, he's still as nice a mover! I will for sure let everyone know if I take him to a show....lol#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Sometimes it isn't the cost/price of the horse so much as it is the upkeep. Example one horse we have is a free lease/sort of forever. We treat him like he is our own. Maybe you could find an arrangement that works where you exercise the horse while the owner is at school or too busy with work as a FAVOUR rather than a paying lease. Keep your eyes peeled. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#You find a way to afford it. We often give up other things to be able to enjoy the hobby. I don't take lessons for over 10 years now--NOT because I think I am good enough...LOL! Quite frankly the well has run dry and I have to enjoy it now on a lesser scale and make due with maintaining myself and ride more for fun. My daughter is in 3 year university...Wait till your kids hit that age, they both just finished with braces...both our vehicles are real old, and we have not had a vacation in over 10 years. Living on our farm is our vacation. When you have animals it makes it hard to getaway. I am usually the one left behind while our neighbours go away and I farm/horse sit. They can afford to pay me...I can even afford the vacation let along pay someone to farm sit our menagerie. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Okay, now that I know how to do this ( thanks Patricia!) here is a pic of my other guy. He is in training to be a jumper, but if he doesnt sell soon, he will also be cross training in dressage, and maybe even shown in both this summer. Time will tell....
