So I just went on the pill and I have found that my migranes(sp?)&nbsp; Have gotten worse (I get about 1 -2 a week on a regular basis they just hurts more). I know I have to give it three months but is it normal?? Or is it gonna kill me??? I've had no other side affects (wieght gain, nausia&nbsp;etc.) So aside from seeing my docotor anything I can do?? will I get over it?<IMG src="http://forums.equestrianconnection.com/smileys/smiley24.gif" border="0">

Geeze! Go see you doctor!
A big patch of my sister's hair fell out when she was on the pill and it came back in white! Weird! (she didn't stay on it long)

Yup, go see a doctor.&nbsp; There is no point in wondering what may happen to you - especially when it comes to your health!&nbsp; Your bod may work it out eventually, or else a different pill might be better for you........
Go see your doctor!!!!

Sounds like you are getting too much estrogen. Your Dr. will probably put you on a lower stregnth BC. Exactly what my Dr. did.

<font color="magenta">I also suffer from migraines, it's one of the many reasons I chose not to go the pill route for bc. <br /> <br />Go to your doctor and get it cleared up.

I suffer from migraines too<IMG src="smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0">&nbsp;I didn't find that going on the pill made them worse. Go talk to you pharmacist or your doctor. Read the pamphlet(sp?) info to see if headaches are a side affect. If its really bothering you change the pill.

I was on 3 different types of pill and found that the Ortho 7/7/7 gave me migraines, so I tried the Ortho .5/35 and that gave me one brutal migraine always the last weekend of the period week. The last one I was on was Tricyclen and for me that was the best one. You should see your doctor, but also do a headache chart to give you a better idea as to if there are other triggers that may be playing a part. Migraines are the headache of the devil.

So I talked to my doc. and she said to give the pill another 2 months. She also said that I should drink a lot of water and that will help the pain of the migraines. So I really hope she right. Cuz I got a killer one tonight(Im feeling better now tho)<IMG src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0">&nbsp;Thanx guys

Yes go to your Dr. Your pill is obviously too strong. When i first started out i got killer headaches everyday. Switched pills and it was A-ok. The pill is very much a trial and error until you find the right one. good luck!

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#dont worry marty, I used to get really horrible ones too when I started taking it. Its one of the side effects. If you read the insert in the package it will give you a whole list of the side effects. If its too much to take and they dont go away then you might have to try something else. But when you are altering your bodies natural chemistry there will always be side effects. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#&nbsp;#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#It depends on what one your on anyways. Which one are you taking? I take tricyclene because it supposed to help with your skin and stuff too, and its a combination pack so theres 3 different levels. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I had real problems with the pill...I tried all sorts of brands until I tried Brevicon. Its kind of like anti-inflammatories. Estrogen is a synthetic hormone (the ones in the pill, not the ones our body makes :D ) and you can get different types of dosages. There are also different types of birth control as well. My sister didn't like the pill at all, and got the depo shot. Now, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but its similar to the pill as far as hormones go. There's the patch, or if you can't find a pill/hormone combination that you like different methods of birth control pills. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#&nbsp;#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I wrote down what was wrong with me on each pill that I tried, and it took about 6-8 months to find something that worked with me. I've now been on this brand for 7 years. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I used to be on the pill, but then my moods started changing(and not for the better). I got extra nasty with hubby so I tried different ones with no relief, so we started to try to get pregnant and I got preggo and no nasty mood swings just weepy ones#ed_op#IMG src="http://forums.equestrianconnection.com/richedit/smileys//smiley19.gif"#ed_cl#. That was over 2 yrs ago and I still don't take the pill. Me and hubby just use condoms til we decide to try for #2, and then hubby goes to get snipped( or neutered as I sometimes tease him). lol#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I am not a Birth Control Fan -- I cant take them.&nbsp; I tried Alesse, Orth Tri Cyclene and the Patch and I gained weight like you wouldnt believe (20 pds a month) on each one and the migraines were horrendous.&nbsp; So it's not worth my while.&nbsp; That and I was told if I got aura migraines (whcih I started on the patch, and they havent gone away) It means i could be at risk for stroke.&nbsp; So just watch yourself Marty!#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#My doctor was telling me there is a ring that goes around the cervix available now??? Don't know anything else about it except that you have to change it every 3 weeks. I'm thinking about coming off the Depo, I'm getting a little bit concerned about bone loss at my age, plus I'm on corticosteroids for asthma which also contribute to bone loss. I love the Depo though, don't miss periods at all.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
