A question for all those who have had a baby.
I hate going to the doctor so I thought I would ask here. This may be long but ill try to keepit short.
OK Im nursing my son and did the same with my daughter the difference is that I got my period with my daughter right away. With my son I wasnt getting it and now all a sudden I have started getting it. This is the second month now.
My question is, I have been really heavy in the flow department and feel alot pressure on like my crotch bone so much that it hurts and I have to sit down what to do?. I went for my 6 week check and everything was fine. When I first get my peroid its bad but as the days go on the pressure gets better. Also I wear tampons and the other night I got such a bad pain like in my cervix or something I was almost in tears. What should I do? Could it be just beacuse I havent gotten my period for so long my body is still adjusting and still healing form having the baby?
Any advice would help.
Im not going to the doctor!!!!!!!!

Why not? I've never had a baby, but I would go see a doctor if I were you! Who knows what it could be, but it could jeoprodize your health - why not get it looked after?

I hate to say this stephanie but we are so lucky we CAN go see doctors here in Canada, why not take advantage of it?

I've crossed so many people from other countries and heard so many horror stories about diseases which could have been treated but people didn't even have access to doctors.

My Mom keeps complaining lately that her Dr is 'forcing' her to go see a cardiologist. Is it really that bad that your country's health care system is set up to ensure you see specialist to prevent you from getting really sick?

Sure, our system is not perfect. But it's darn better than most of the rest of this planet.

Sorry for being so blunt, I don't like going to the Dr either and I hate going to get a pap test but it's for our own good. In your case, you may not even have anything but given our complex women bodies I'd have it checked to be on the safe side. Do if for your kids, I'm sure they don't want mommy to get sick. <edited><editID>Lix</editID><editDate>38394.6165393519</editDate></edited>

Good point Lix....we all take the health systems for granted...I know I do sometimes. But wow, think of all the third world countries....

Don't worry, I'm annoyed too, but not to the point of not going. We are so lucky. Third world countries are really bad, you are right, but I also see developped countries where people just don't have access or simply don't have the ressources to see a Dr.

I kind of had a light buld moment like that when I started thinking about how everyone complains about seat belts. How silly is it to complain about a country whose system who will fine you for not taking care of yourself (eg. putting your seatbelt on). Pretty silly huh. As annoying as it is for us to stretch down and buckle, it's all for our own good. Our cops don't want to have to keep pulling dead bodies out of car accidents.

Ok, I'm off topic now. Sorry stephanie! I hope you feel better soon but please, go see a Dr.

Thanks everyone.
I talked to a friend of ours who is a nurse and she said Im fine. Its just what happens sometimes after having a baby, until your body gets used to getting your period again.
No diseases here. Altough I didnt think I ever had one. Im 24 years old have two kids and have only ever slept with one person so Id say that is pretty good and out of the disease catagory.

Good to have such friends around eh?
I'd still keep an eye on it, and if it continues over the next few months I would go to the doctor, just in case.

Stehpanie1.......I understand you not wanting to go to the doctor! I'm the same way, unless I'm actually dying from pain etc. I wouldn't want to venture out to the doc either! Alot of people tend to misuse our health care system IMO, but that is just me.
Glad everything turned out to be ok.
