#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Cool Xena!  I didn't realize you have a farm!!!  Is it yours or your parents?  How big?  Will you have other horses at home?  That'll be so much fun for you to have her in your backyard! #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#As for the jumps, if you have bush on your acreage, you can probably find alot of wood to make neat jumps (pyramid things, fake fences, etc.)  You can also get big plastic barrels and put a wood pole on top.  Hmmm I'll think about it some more.  #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I couldn't see the background. lol #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#well technically its not "my" farm, its actually our neighbours, but same thing, it takes 2 seconds to walk over... #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#so far I have a "canoe" jump that I will make, its an old wooden canoe that I want to fill with dirt and plant flowers in... I thought that would be cool, I have some logs and things too, and trees that I will use... I will probly be able to find some cedar fence rails and make something with those too... #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I helped build some x-country jumps years ago - we just had rails and stuff, but you can do lots with them.  Uprights, oxers, zig-zags, in-and-outs, corners, brush jumps - use your imagination!  If I was closer, I'd come over and play with you #ed_op#IMG src="http://forums.equestrianconnection.com/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Oh yeah - tire jumps!  We hung a bunch of tires on a pole and attached it to posts - made a great jump.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I can see the background on your first post, not the second!#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Just keep safety in mind... tires should always be cut so that your horse won't get caught up in them in the event he puts a foot through...  #ed_op#IMG src="http://www.forums.equestrianconnection.com/richedit/smileys/Happy/23.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#The thing is, if the tires are just strung on a pole your horse could, conceivably, get a foot through a tire and get caught up.  If the tires are cut through at the bottom (they'll still look round... just safer) then it would be much harder, if not impossible, to get caught up.  I don't even remember when/where I learned this, but it seems like a good idea.  #ed_op#IMG src="http://www.forums.equestrianconnection.com/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif"#ed_cl#  #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
