So much fun!

Thought I'd share that:#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

Friends took me to Checkmate this WE. They were showing PT80 and PT90.
Beeing an "oversea's imported" dressage rider as they call me, I had
never experienced canadian eventing. It was GREAT! I had a ball
watching you crazy guys over x-country and was admirative off those who
were able to keep enough horse for the jumping and did super jobs.
There were some really funny moments to, like listening to all those
riders whooping, cheering their horses on the courses, or beeing so
thrilled of their stadium performance that they forgot to pass the
finish line. And some scary-thrilling moments, like one of our kids
riding like hell to the first jump, getting popped off the saddle, into
the grass, hopping back on and getting through the full course,
"burning it" as she said, with only one stop in total... and still
beeing within the time. The horses were amazing. We got to watch a bit
of the Training level, and that got my feet jumping up and down,
looking for stirrups and a horse to join the fun.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

so guess what, this morning my dressage "prima donas" got to stretch
their long legs on the 1.5+km long field behind our barn, and for the
first time since my poneyclub years, we just let go, completely,
and they loved it soooo much. #ed_op#br#ed_cl#

After our dressage season, would you guys mind if we join you one day?#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

because those national/CDI shows are so expensive#ed_op#img src="richedit/smileys/dressagerider.gif"#ed_cl#.... and a horsewoman's wallet is only fairly expandable...#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
in any case, we're going to join you guys in october, at a  PT80
or 90 (under that one of my guys doesn't bother lifting his feet #ed_op#img src="/richedit/smileys/ec-jumpbars.gif"#ed_cl#, over that, he knocks on everything non solid down).#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
#ed_op#br#ed_cl#
Now I just have to work on beeing able to bend my long froggy dressage legs into shorter stirrups #ed_op#img src="/richedit/smileys/confused.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#
