OK, so I have a question for all you hunter eq people out there.
George Morris, is he a "classic" or "ols school"? Wondering how many of
you guys go to his clinics or follow his teaching. Did he help your
riding??#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I love his PH critiques! Thier always the first thing I read. I would love to go to one of his clinics but I don't think I've ever heard of one in the area. I also have his book. I'd say he is a classic. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#A bit OT but does anyone know if thier is going to be another Wayne McClellan clinic??#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Probably the best clinician in N.A.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#George Morris is classic and probably the best clinician in N.A.  His schedule does not include many Canadian venues each year.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#If one has the opportunity to attend, either riding or auditing, they should, .#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Don't be deterred by the mountains of mis-information.  He is a demanding instructor who expects his students to be as focused and work as hard as he does.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#  #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

A lot of people critacise him and accuse him of being too extreme and
incorrect. I think it is not his teacihngs but the teachings of some
who follow him and how they interpret him. The whole T and A riding
with the jamming down of the heels, a pose if you will. I took a clinic
with him years ago and liked it but I was a huter eq rider then. I have
recently read his book. I did disagree with some of it but otherwise
liked a lot of what he had to say. You need to take him from where he
is coming from.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#You're lucky taking a clinic with him. He's tough, but undisputably one of the best hunter/eq/jumper trainers in North America. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#He turns out a high calibre of rider and has been chef d'equipe for the American Team. I'm a big advocate of his ideas and training. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#he's a very talented & experienced man - he knows what he's talking about, even if you think his ways are a bit extreme....i used to love his critiques in PH -he was soooo bang on 99% of the time.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#if i ever got the chance to see him do a clinic - i'd loff to go!#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Apparently he's getting up there, but he gets on a horse and just waits. No hands, just leg and seat and waits for the horse to give. Just waits. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#He's incredible. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
