#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#well he is a desendent of the Rubinstein bloodline.  Which is very famous, but I do not know anything specifically about that stallion.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Are you thinking of breeding?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#He is definitely a looker though!#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Yes, zooka, I am "toying" with the idea of breeding!#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

I lost my best mare 3 years ago due to a breech birth (lost the foal,
too). So I am just thinking about it. Mr. Razzba has to be convinced
that breeding again will be something fun, not something horrible. #ed_op#br#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#in that case mention the idea to Adpaga she helped me pick out a stallion that would compliment my mare by looking at her weeknesses and finding strengths in the stallion to counter that.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I don't know Razzba. Between myself and Draygonfyne we have had 11 foals and 6 of them would have died if someone had not been there. Draygonfyne did lose one of her mares to a hemorrage. I find breeding and foaling extremely stressful, but am somehow addicted despite the stress.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

I was there. We couldn't get the foal out. Local vet couldn't either.
Shipped her to another vet, still couldn't get foal out. Ended up
having to put her down since a C section would have killed her
anyway. #ed_op#img src="/richedit/smileys/cry.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#br#ed_cl#

Yuck. Maybe I will hold off.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#that is really too bad.  Your huisband was telling me about that when I was over.  I am always worried about that kind of stuff but when it works out it is so rewarding.  Hopefully Zooka can pull off another good pregnancy and birthing then she will be left to enjoy herself.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Yes, with a breech I have heard that many times even if there would have been a vet standing there that quite often you lose both. Razzba, I didn't mean to imply that I thought it was an unattended birth, hope you didn't think I was casting aspersions on your horse management.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I was trying to impart my opinion that even though they say that most foalings go fine unassisted, in my personal experience, we seem to have had more than our share of problems, and don't think that because you had one awful experience that'll be it, or other scary experiences won't happen. I know I sound pretty pessimistic, but as someone else once said "foaling is not for the faint of heart". Just think long and hard before you start booking stallions, make sure that you really want to take the process on, it can be so rewarding but also so heartbreaking, as you have found out.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I am so nervous about this because I know that there is so much that can go wrong but when I put my hand to Zooka's tummy and feel the baby kick my fears start to melt away!#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl# #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Maybe you will be more ready in a few years after you have had more time for your wounds about your other mare to heal somewhat Razzba?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
