Okay, so for years I've been having the same problem and it's *really* starting to frustrate me!!
I have *such* a hard time getting up in the morning before 7:10am or so. I have tried everything, I have tried setting my alarm super early to allow me more 'snooze hits' but than I just sleep right through the alarm, I have tried setting it at the time I want to get up (6:20am), but than I just hit snooze until 7:10am, I have tried the radio (which is easy for me to sleep through), I have tried the annoying screeching beep noise on the alarm but than I just reach over and turn it off completly or unplug it, than when I DO wake up, the memory of turning it off is quite foggy... I've tried getting my mom to come down and wake me up but that doesn't work, I just fall asleep again, or I don't even hear her... I've even been known to talk to her, tell her I'm awake and than have no memory of it at all. I've tried putting the clock across the room even!
I used to be going to bed around 11pm, any later than that and I feel terrible the next day, almost like a hangover. Than I thought I would try going to bed earlier, so it's been 10pm for the last couple of weeks and STILL no change So I AM getting a full 8 - 8.5 hours sleep.
I moved into a new house in October and since than I have been having teh best sleeps I can remember having in a looong time. We live in the 'country' now and it's nice and quiet. For the first month of living there I was getting up nice and early, usually before my alarm even went off... I was ecstatic because I thought that my bad sleeping in habit had FINALLY gone away... nope, soon after, I started sleeping in again
I eat healthy, I excersize 4-5 times a week (riding), I don't drink coffee in the afternoon or evenings, and more recently I've actually stopped drinking it during the week all together.
On weekends when I don't set my alarm, it's not like I'm a super late sleeper, I usually wake up on my own between 8am and 9am.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It's really starting to bother me as I don't have time to do anything in the morning. I'm lucky if I have time to eat breakfast and sometimes I don't even have time to make a lunch. Good thing my boss (my dad) is away this week because I was 20 minutes late this morning , and on every other day I'm usualy *just* making it in on time or 5 minutes late.... it's GOT to stop!
Help?
