Hey you never know. Guys usually take a second look when a chick is driving a pickup.
I have to agree! Guys definately take a second look at a girl driving a big truck.  I think its hilarious when I stop for gas and get out of the truck in a skirt(a rare occasion. hehe) and the guys look.
On the same page - my number one pet peve - guys asking my if it's my dad's/bf's truck! When I had to go get lumber while we were building the barn, we really loaded up the truck, and the guy at the yard told me "not to dent daddy's truck or he might not let me drive it anymore".  With the nastiest look in the world, I told him it was MY truck, and it was just as big as "daddy's".   grrrr!!!!!!!!

It is not just the truck that the guys think that belongs to the "man in your life" be it daddy, hubby, or BF or neighbor it is everything.&nbsp; At least it used to be when I was younger.&nbsp; I was asked quite frequently how I got away with the horse and trailer for a weekend without hubby or whomever.&nbsp; Or it was a divorce settlement for sure how could a woman own and operate that rig and own a farm etc etc.&nbsp; It is just the mentallity that has been passed down through the years girls...it is getting better but we have a long ways to go yet before the guys finally get it.&nbsp; Just keep on plugging along girls, this too will pass..<IMG src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0">

I am reminded of the Joe Diffy song - "there's something women like about a pick-up man" - yeah, the truck! <IMG src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0">
When I was looking for a new truck back in '94, I thought I'd test-drive the "new" Dodge Ram which had just come out.&nbsp; Called up the dealer, explained that I wanted to haul a horse-trailer with it, etc. etc.&nbsp; When I got there, the sales<EM>man</EM> handed me the keys to a Dodge Dakota!&nbsp; Guess he thought the little woman would want a little truck. <IMG src="smileys/smiley7.gif" border="0">Needless to say, he didn't get a sale! Bought a Ford instead.
What I always enjoy are the looks on the guys' faces when they see me backing up a truck and trailer.&nbsp; They're all ready to rush over and give me advice but before they can, I'm turned around and out of there!&nbsp; Priceless! <IMG src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0">

I got a lot of strange looks when I used to drive my ex-roommates '71 Javelin. VROOOOM VROOOM, I loved that car. Men do not expect to see a woman behind the wheel of a muscle car either.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#You are right Razz, the purchase phase is the easy part, it is the maintenence from then on.&nbsp; Sort of like a horse you might say./&nbsp; And I don't know about the prices of fuel up there In good old Canada but they are hiking them up daily down here...it is criminal what they are doing with the prices down here.....Like I may have to sell the farm in order to get back home&nbsp; #ed_op#IMG src="/richedit/smileys/bandit.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
