#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Has anyone ever had one of these? I'm going for one on Monday and want to know what tortures may be inflicted on me.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#If it's what I think it is, they just make you blow as hard as you can into a tube, to see what the volume of your lungs is.  Might make you lightheaded, but nothing worse - unless they want to put you on a treadmill?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I have nooo idea. The tube thing I think is a peak flow meter and my doctor could have done that in his office, which he has on occasion in the past. I'm sure they will use that, but I doubt that's all there is to it.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#My daughter sees a cardiologist regularly.  Could be a fitness test of sorts.  You are hooked up to monitors and are on a treadmill.  Also checking lung capacity with the tube in your mouth the whole time...I think you bicycle too.  #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#My co-worker informs me that they will put a clothespin on my nose and have me blow really hard a bunch of times into the tube. Then have me breathe in as much as I can too. I will probably get lightheaded by the sounds of it.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
